North Tyneside

Frequently  Asked Questions

Q. What age group does Age Concern serve?

A. Anyone aged 50 or over. We may also be able to help younger carers of over 50s

Q. How can I make sure my donation/legacy benefits older people in the North Tyneside area?

A. Any donations /legacies should be made payable to AGE CONCERN NORTH TYNESIDE.
If you are a tax payer a payment made through GIFT AID will increase your donation at no extra cost to you as the Inland Revenue will increase the donation by the basic rate of tax. See link on this site.

Q. Are there any opportunities for me to help you fundraise for Age Concern North Tyneside.

A. Yes, contact our Income Generation Manager who could suggest ways in which you might get involved. Examples include tin collecting and promoting the Age Concern Lottery. We could offer you a number of sponsored events including climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, Biking the Nile and Walking the Great Wall of China (and many more like the Great North Run!).

Q. I have been recently bereaved and would like to make some new friends and do something useful with my time. Can you help?

A. You could join one of our many activity groups or consult our LocalLinx database for activities in your area. You could consult with our Volunteer Co-coordinator about the many volunteering opportunities available to suit your needs. See links on this site.
